Last week was not very fun. I was sick pretty much all week, and Deuce got sick first with a stomach flu, and then with a head cold. He seems to be doing better today, but now Dana has what Deuce had. It’s just taking it’s stab at everyone.

Other than being sick, it’s been pretty boring on our front. Cousin Lisa and Cory got engaged at Jaden’s first birthday on Sunday. I’m sorry we missed it, but I’m sure we’ll get to see them soon and congratulate them.

Yea, I know, the beach isn’t for a good while, but Dana and I sent a check in for our townhouse today, so I thought it only fair to put a countdown clock up. You may have noticed it in the menubar on the right. While I know it’s kind of sad to look at it now with almost a full half year on the clock, that’ll go by faster than we know it.

I am feeling a little better today, but I haven’t really eaten since Saturday, and I don’t know if I’ll be heading to work tomorrow. I’ll most likely be working from home.

So the Steeler’s lost. It was still one hell of a season. I mean, after a 6-10 season last year, no one expected this team to go .500 for the year. Yet they finished the season 16-2 (including the playoffs) and provided this city with an excitement that it has not been seen in quite some time. Granted, a Super Bowl appearance would have been great, but to do what they did is still an accomplishment by any standard. Look at it this a way, next year they no longer have the stigma of a “rookie” quarterback, and I have a feeling that next year will also be a good year.

I have been very ill with what I think was a 24-hour stomach flu. It SUCKS. I feel a little better now, I only hope Deuce and Dana did not get it.

Dana and I had our couch delivered Tuesday, and we finally uploaded some new pictures to the website. Check them out.

That gallery also has some more pictures of Deuce. He’s 7 and a half months already, which is scary, because it seems like only yesterday he was born. He started day care on Wednesday, and although Wednesday was a little tough for him, they said he played much better today, so we think he’ll do well there.

Apparently, No-IP.com is down, so my forwarders aren’t working. If you had problems getting here, that’s why.

I heard a pretty good quote that I thought I’d share with you. It’s from Patton Oswalt’s latest standup routine on Comedy Central:

I love red meat because every time you eat a steak a hippies’ hacky sack goes in the gutter.
