Yep, Little Deuce is ill once again. He seems to pick up anything and everything he can from day care. He had been pretty good for about a month, but he’s been to the doctor twice this week.

Monday, the Learning Tree called and said that he had a fever, so Dana picked him up and took him to the doctor. They said it could be any number of things, and told us to come back if the fever persisted for 72 hours.

This morning, he still had a bit of a fever with a side of congestion and general crankiness. So Dana took him back to the doctor’s. This time they said it’s probably an upper respiratory virus, which can last up to 10 days. They also said he had some fluid behind his ears, but it wasn’t infected.

Given his pension for ear infections, we are kind of relieved that he doesn’t have one, yet. Hopefully the fluid will go away without becoming infected, but we have our fingers crossed.

Poor little guy is so tired, he doesn’t know what to do with himself. He wants to play, but is just too tired to do it. I hope he gets better soon, it’s heartbreaking to see him sick.

Yea, it’s been a while, but we posted some new pics. Check them out.

So, for the past few nights, every time we put Deuce down to sleep, he wakes up and starts crying.

Normally, we’d pick him up and rock him back to sleep, but this has to stop. So, we just let him cry his little head off. He does give up and go to sleep, but it usually takes him about ten minutes.

Hopefully, if we keep doing this, he’ll get the idea. Until then, we have to be “mean” parents.

I’m hoping that tonight was an isolated incident, otherwise, we are in some trouble.

Everyone was dead tired after a long weekend, including little Deuce. Unfortunately, he fought sleep with every last little bit of energy he could muster. He didn’t stay in his crib until about 10 til 9… Needless to say, I’m about dead… I just needed to check my email and thought I’d log this. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be able to laugh at him when his kid keeps him up like he keeps us up.

Just when you thought it was safe… Tax Time! I’m beginning not to like tax time, mostly because as a student, you just get all the money you put into taxes back.. That’s pretty nice. As a working person, all the money you put in means nothing, because you still end up paying at the end of the year anyway. My only hope is that the little “dependent” helps us out a bit this year. :)
Other than that, things have been pretty quiet around the homefront. Deuce is very much on the move, and it would seem that he’s pissed that he can’t walk yet. The ladies at day care seem to think that, when he starts to walk, he’s so strong he’ll be fast. Now, I cannot recall a time when “G” and “fast” were used in the same sentince, so maybe he got that from the A side. We’ve been so busy with house stuff, car inspections, etc, that we haven’t really had time to stop and document all of his little achievements.

We are, however, a mere two months away from his first birthday. I think Mom is already in planning mode, or soon will be, so I’m sure it will be the party of the year.
