I prefer the hdc beanie because it seemed to give a little more and move a little faster. You should be looking for a hat height of 8″ and a circumference of 18″-20″ for a 12mos-3yrs. The pattern above used a G hook and I used the Bernat baby weight yarn. It sounds like your hat might be a little too big. If you use the hdc beanie pattern, try making an extra one or two rounds where you increase by 2 st’s in between each hdc…that should give you the size you need. I also scanned crochetpatterncentral.com for some ideas, but I found Teresa’s site to be the most helpful. Let me know how it goes!

hey, great little hats! can you give me some pointers on sizes? i’m trying to make a hat for my cousin’s baby (12 months old) and heck if i know what size a baby head is. the one i’ve made is increasing 9s, and it looks huge to me. i only have a too-biggish hook (size j/6mm) and i’m at 63 stitches around. i was trying to base it on the sizes i found at crochet-mania - incidentally, how i found your site - (http://crochet-mania.blogspot.com/2008/04/newborn-head-circumference-13-14-hat.html) but it just looks big. thoughts? i’d love to know what sizes/patterns you used.

I will admit that, when it comes to video games, I have a problem. I always joke that you have two kids, and in reality, that’s the truth.

Look at it this way: I could be out all night drinking with my buddies or down in the safety of our home staring at the TV. The latter sounds good to me, and I assume it’s better for you.

Ok, so I’m crazy, but not as crazy as I might appear

If I look at the TV schedules for various Comcast FSN games, it only shows the games on Channel 29 (for Comcast - Greensburg). I thought that maybe they wouldn’t play the games for Greensburg (although I can’t imagine why).

So I checked the Comcast schedules for Pittsburgh and Monroeville, and they too only show the game as broadcast on the “standard def” channel.

The blog entry on FSN’s MySpace page seems to be the most complete source of info for the HD broadcast’s I’ve found. Thanks for the heads up!
