This site is maintained by Matt G. I am a software developer by trade. My current focus is ASP.NET development in C# and VB.NET. I’ve also had some experience in Windows Development in VC++ 7, C# and VB (.NET and 6). I graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA in May of 2002, where I earned a B.S. in Computer Science. I currently reside in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. While my career is linked to Microsoft, I still try to keep in touch with and contribute to the open source community.
Personally, my wife and I had a son in June of 2004. And while parenting has limited my hobbies, it is a joy that cannot be explained. I also maintain Deuce’s Wild, a blog and photo gallery devoted to my family.

The Site
Unhandled Exceptions was initially meant to be a personal/professional blog dealing mainly with my exploits in development. I found that after I had researched and solved various development problems, I didn’t store the solution, and I ended up forgetting about it later on down the line. I had hoped for this blog to be a repository for these solutions. It should also provide a good reference for people who are having the same issue. This blog has evolved into a personal/professional blog. While I try to keep our family posts in the family blog, the world’s mingle often.
Deuce’s Wild is my family blog, where I update everyone on the progress of my son. From time to time, personal thoughts will intrude, but it’s mostly for the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to keep tabs on little Deuce. I use Gallery to maintain a digital gallery of his exploits.
