Boo for moving, hooray for Linux

Despite the fact I work with Windows, I’ve liked the Linux/Unix OS since I was introduced to it in college. It’s just nice and pretty stable, particularly on the server side. I’m not saying Windows servers can’t be stable, I’ve just had better luck on the Linux side of things.
If it weren’t for my wife and I moving to our new townhouse this weekend, there is no telling what the always reliable spike’s uptime would be. It’s currently at approximately 55 days, and I probably won’t shut it down until thursday or friday, so that should take me very close to 60 days of uptime. I’m SURE I could get it to go longer (I think I had one box up to over a year and a half running Redhat 9, but I like to keep up on the installs so I usually shutdown to install the new Fedore Cores when they are released). Considering I’m not hooked up to a UPS or anytype of backup generated, that’s a good feat for our power company as much as the OS.
As I mentioned, we’re moving, so the site will be down for a few days while we move all our earthly belongs to Westmoreland County.
