E-Ring (see Threat Matrix)

So I caught an episode of E-Ring last night. Not bad, not bad, although I’m not so impartial when it comes to those kinds of shows. I am a huge fan of dramas where science meets bad-ass law enforcement (hence my attachment to all the CSI’s). While E-Ring doesn’t include all that much science, there’s enough to keep me entertained in between secret soldiers hunting you down.
The one lead, Kelly Rutherford, looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn’t quite place her. Then, it hit me. About 2 years ago she starred along side James Denton in Threat Matrix, a short-lived but well done show that has the same basic plotlines as E-Ring (Yes, James Denton from Desperate Housewifes). I’m not one to complain, but it is rather odd that once network cancels Threat Matrix and someone else, 2 years later, is able to pitch the same show to a different network and make it work.
In any case, it wasn’t a bad show, one I’d most likely try to catch again.
