It’s been a little nuts around here today, at least for me. This morning we came across an issue that, at the time, was a big deal and needed fixed. So I started on that, and it was one of those problems where the more you delve into it, the more changes you make and the harder it becomes. I was making so many changes, in fact, that I was getting leery of making the changes so close to code freeze and release.
After lunch I brought this up with my managers and they decided it wouldn’t be so bad to leave it as a known issue, especially since we narrowed it down to a very specific case that seems unlikely to occur (although, since it’s unlikely I’ll guarantee we get a bug about it with a month of release. So that crisis averted, I’m now tasked with figuring out what’s going on with our software in a Hebrew OS. Wish me luck.
