AJAX for .NET

Published 3.08.2007 by ~mattg

I know I’m a bit slow on the uptake, but my tasks at work have kept me in the VC++/C# windows forms environments, so I haven’t had much need to look into new web technology. However, I am in the process of setting up my home machine with the AJAX extensions for .NET. Hopefully, I can incorporate some of it the AJAX functionality into my side project sites.

I can’t say work has been uneventful, it’s just that time of the development cycle when everyone is bearing down on their own tasks. Most of my tasks this cycle deal with adding wizards to our web application. Since I already designed a structure to handle these wizards, adding new ones is just a matter of adding a bunch of classes that mimic the functionality required.

My one consistent task seems to be conversion. With some of the changes I’ve heard coming down the pipe, I may not like that too much in a few weeks, but we’ll see what the cycle brings.
