//TODO: Runstoppable Wordpress Widget

Published 4.12.2007 by ~mattg

I’m putting this here so that maybe, just maybe, I’ll remember it. I came across a web site today that peaked my interest: Runstoppable.com. It’s a free service that acts as a running log and route planner. The cool thing is, it integrates pretty heavily with Google Maps, so you can plan your routes simply by drawing on a Google map. The software calculates mileage for the route. Then you can log runs against a particular route, and entering your run time will determine your pace. All of this data is neatly packaged into some handy reporting and graphing.

There is also an RSS feed for your routes and runs. I’m thinking it would be cool to have a Wordpress sidebar widget that took the RSS feed and made it a bit more readable. I tried using the standard RSS reader, but the format coming out of Runstoppable didn’t play too well with that one. If I have time I’ll try to get a widget together for that feed… If I have time.
