Rockin’ the PS3

I’ve been saving my side-project money for about a year now, trying to save up enough to buy a PS3. Given the recent price cuts (and my birthday 
), I went out on Friday to buy the system. It’s basically a computer, but with a much nicer UI (thanks to the XMB interface), and the graphics are AWESOME.
I bought Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare, which was one of the better purchases I’ve made lately. The graphics are incredible, as the game itself supports 1080i (maybe 1080p, I’m too lazy to get up and look), and the controls are pretty natural, even coming from the PC first-person shooter (aka mouse and keyboard) layout. Let me re-iterate: the graphics are awesome. It could be the 65″ television the PS3 is hooked up to, but it’s simply ridiculous. I feel like I’m right there, which isn’t necessarily a good feeling when I’m getting hit with the concussion from a rocket-propelled grenade.
I’m trying to figure out what game to get next. Rainbow 6: Las Vegas looks good, but I also saw NHL 2008, which looks incredible as well. Decisions, decisions.
