Why are exams with numbers always hell?

I’m currently studying for my MCTS 70-536 exam, which I’m taking at the end of the month. I understand the concepts, but their testing is ridiculously exact. It’s not that I don’t want to know how to use the classes in the .Net Framework, but it escapes me as to why I need to memorize method signatures. Isn’t that why they wrote the help file?

Don’t get me wrong, knowing that there are abstract classes and interfaces available that can help you in your development process is wonderful. But I don’t really see the need to drill down to the nitty-gritty of method signatures, particularly in a “foundation” test.

Maybe it’s because I’m better at thinking things through than memorizing. Or maybe it’s because multiple choice tests scare me, because I may be close to the answer, but that only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades, and essay tests.
